Meet Evelyn James Remembrance Companions, soft, tangible keepsakes created to help pregnancy and infant loss families continue including their babies in the traditions, milestones and moments that still belong to them.
Holidays have a way of making absence louder.
The stockings go up.
Family pictures are taken.
Gifts are wrapped.
Traditions continue.
And when your baby has died, there is still someone missing from all of it.
After losing my daughter Evelyn, I learned that remembering our babies isn't about refusing to move forward.
It's about finding ways to carry their love forward with us.
Their place in our family didn't disappear when they died.
Sometimes we just need something tangible to remind us of that.
Something soft to hold. A place for what matters.
Each Remembrance Companion is designed with a discreet interior keepsake compartment.
Depending on the final product design, families may use the compartment for something meaningful connected to their baby.
Examples can include:
- A sealed keepsake urn
- Hospital bracelet
- Ultrasound photo
- Small piece of fabric or blanket
- Letter
- Memorial jewelry
- Tiny keepsake
- Another item meaningful to their family
You do not need cremated remains to have a Remembrance Companion.
Meet The Little Reindeer
The first Evelyn James Remembrance Companion is being created for the 2026 holiday season.
Our vision is a beautiful, incredibly soft baby reindeer designed to feel comforting in your arms and natural in your home.
Not an urn that looks like a stuffed animal.
A beautiful companion first, with a quiet purpose hidden inside.
Choose the one that reminds you of your baby.
Rose
Soft blush and muted rose details.
Winter
Soft winter blue and slate details.
Evergreen
Warm neutral, sage and taupe details.
We intentionally don't call these girl, boy and neutral. Your baby's color is whatever feels like your baby to you.
There is no right way to remember someone you love.
Maybe their companion sits beside their stocking.
Maybe it comes to Grandma's house.
Maybe a sibling carries it into the family Christmas picture.
Maybe it stays beside your bed.
Maybe you tuck a letter inside every year.
Maybe you simply hold it when your arms remember what they are missing.

The First of Many
The Little Reindeer is the first planned edition of Evelyn James Remembrance Companions.
Our hope is to create new companions over time for holidays, milestones and seasons of remembrance, giving families meaningful ways to continue including their babies in their family story year after year.
Remembering Our Babies. Supporting Other Families
Each Remembrance Companion collection is being created with giving at its heart.
We hope to partner with organizations already doing meaningful work for pregnancy and infant loss families and designate a clearly stated amount from participating collections to support that work.
Our inaugural charitable partner will be announced once the partnership is finalized.
Why I'm Creating This
I'm Vallen Webb, founder of Evelyn James & Company and Evelyn's mom.
My daughter Evelyn James was stillborn at 40 weeks and 5 days.
I know what it feels like to move through holidays knowing someone important is missing.
I also know how meaningful it can be when our babies are given a continued place in our family traditions instead of feeling like everyone expects their memory to disappear.
Remembrance Companions grew from that belief. Our babies are still part of our families. They deserve a place in our stories. And sometimes, we deserve something we can actually hold.
